DXbase for Windows® places customer feedback as the driving force behind all of the feature additions and modifications that go into each release.

Woodstock, GA - August 17, 2006 - DXbase 2007 for Microsoft Windows adds more feature functionality and flexibility to make your logging experience easier and more enjoyable.  Now you can benefit from automatic IOTA alerts based on incoming DX spots that contain IOTA information in the spot.  If you interface two radios or two rotors with DXbase, you will now be able to click on the QSY column of a DX spot and DXbase will automatically select the proper radio and rotor based on your bandplan mapping entries.  After you work the needed DX spot, you can add this spot to the new Exclude table by simply right clicking on the spot.  By doing this, you can keep your DX alert options as they are but anytime this call/band/mode is spotted, it will be excluded from alerts and a new indicator will appear beside that DX spot.  DXCC Challenge results are displayed in numeric statistics, partial call finds are available in the previous QSO module, Automatic locking of DX spot windows is available when your mouse enters those windows, and much more.  Great care has been taken to preserve as many of your previous DXbase 2006 options/colors/ etc.. so that upgrading from DXbase 2006 is as simple as ever without the need to reset all your user options.  We think you'll enjoy the new features and the ease of use.

Woodstock, GA - May 1, 2005 - Scientific Solutions has once again taken logging software functionality to higher standards.  This offering culminates a total review of customer input for improving "ease of use" in DXbase.  We've focused on nearly every aspect of the software and in each case made things easier.  We've totally redesigned the process for defining your own field order in the QSO log, added easy to use backup processes, included the means to fill in data from your address CDrom, and made compacting/repairing your database as easy as a couple mouse clicks.  We've added new QSO fields in the log and expanded on some others.  Awards modules have all been updated to current award program standards and we have enhanced the DX alerting mechanisms to give you a greater level of control.  Dozens of new standard reports have been added and your old favorites have been enhanced.  In the words of our lead beta tester, "This release has taken nearly every customer comment into account and made things better."  We think you'll agree that DXbase just keeps getting better and continues to set the pace for the best logging software on the market.

Woodstock, GA - April 29, 2004 - Scientific Solutions is pleased to once again answer the requests of our customers with release of DXbase 2005.  This release expands significantly our support of the ARRL's LoTW process by providing dozens of new LoTW oriented standard reports, direct import of the LoTW ADIF file from ARRL, and new QSO field for recording confirmation date tracking.  We've expanded statistical tracking throughout DXbase to handle the evolving Awards programs that are beginning to now offer "digital" awards separate from the traditional "RTTY" award.  Operating CW under the Microsoft Windows architecture becomes more economical through the support of the Winkey external CW board by K1EL.  This inexpensive addition allows for the sending of perfect uninterrupted CW under Microsoft Windows.  Add new dual band plan mapping allowing you to switch from normal operation to contest band plans, new color coded entries in the DX Info packet need module, improved user designed label and report module, and you have the most advanced logging software on the market today.  Check out some of the new features or view the screen shots in the products section of this site.

Woodstock, GA - April 24, 2003 - Scientific Solutions is proud to offer another spectactular release of DXbase.  DXbase 2004 introduces full internal tracking for the ARRL's Logbook of the World effort.  Users can track receipt of electronic confirmations as well as actual QSL cards.  Submission to the LOTW is supported through the DXbase ADIF export and (when available) the ARRL's utility for accepting ADIF input.  Support has been added for two HF radios as well as two rotors using a separate serial port for each.  Just click an ICON on the screen to switch them.  We've expanded the upper bands that are tracked and we've added a number of standard reports to tell you all about them.  The label/report design module has been substantially enhanced and gives you an even easier interface for making your own QSL cards, labels, and reports.  Many of the existing features have been improved such as the QSL info window, SWL confirming, radio interface performance, DX Info, and more.

Woodstock, GA - April 16, 2002 - Scientific Solutions is proud to offer the latest in the continuing evolution of DXbase for Windows.  Building upon our tradition of putting customer desired features at the top of our list, we have added nearly 60 new and exciting features and refinements to old favorites.  You just have to experience our new interface to the DX Atlas.  Display of high resolution world maps, gray lines, and all the sophisticated plotting of country prefix, CQ zones, and the like is a breeze.  Our interface to the brand new GoList for Windows makes display of accurate QSL manager info a snap.  US county tracking is fully implemented and its never been simpler to see what you need.  They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and now with the new user designed graph/charting capabilities, you can easily create bar charts, pie charts, in brilliant color to show statistics about your QSOs.  You'll also be very pleased with all the refinements we've made to your old favorites such as being able to edit fields in the Previous QSO module.  DXbase 2003 sets a new standard in the world of Amateur radio logging software.

Woodstock, GA - April 21, 2001 - Once again, Scientific Solutions has demonstrated our dedication to customer focus with the introduction of DXbase 2002 for Microsoft Windows.  DXbase 2002 is by far the largest upgrade ever offered for DXbase for Windows.  It comprises most of the feature requests received over the past year.  To accomodate the many great ideas and suggestions, we began our development cycle much earlier than usual and we set our goal to be the inclusion of as many feature requests as we could.  We are pleased to announce that we met our goal and have accomodated 99 percent of the requests that were made.  We also expanded our beta test period which allows us to be more confident than ever that DXbase 2002 will perform solid as a rock.  DXbase 2002 is clearly the most comprehensive package ever offered and it surpasses virtually every logging software product on the market including our past releases.

Woodstock, GA - April 29, 2000 - For the third consecutive year, DXbase for Windows® customers played a major role in deciding the content for this latest evolution in logging software.  Jim Lennox, Technical Lead, for this release said, "We frequently find ourselves amazed at the level of detail provided by our customers when they submit requests for enhancements.  Knowing the "big story" is often times the real factor in whether features are designed complete or if they lack something".  We are very pleased with DXbase 2001 as we bring a new standard for reliability and feature rich software to today's ham radio market.  We are very aware of costs and thus we are pleased that this years upgrade could be offered at last years prices.

Woodstock, GA – May 2, 1999 – DXbase for Windows® customers had the opportunity to play a major role in deciding the content of DXbase 2000®.  Surveys were provided to existing customers who were asked to provide their input about what should be added or changed in DXbase 2000® during the early development process.  This input was taken very seriously at Scientific Solutions and the results are impressive.  Said Jack Lennox, President and CEO, "This clearly has made our customers delighted and it simply demonstrates our commitment to delivering true customer satisfaction".  Its been a Win Win for everyone.  Customer complaints are rare and the feedback is highly complimentary.  Most customers report that they can't imagine how DXbase 2000® can be made any better.  Its been rewarding for Scientific Solutions Inc. too with record sales in all corners of the world.

Continuing, Jack said that there were basically three themes expressed in the surveys. Customers wanted more content in the help files and they wanted it to be easier to find information.  We responded by including a brand new State of the Art help engine appropriately called the "Windows® 2000 Help Engine" and we expanded the content to cover virtually every aspect of the software.  They told us that they wanted some of the features to be easier to use and we responded.  Replying to bureau QSL cards has never been easier and our new one button click allows a user to mark the QSO confirmed, store a label for printing, and populate the date the card was received all at once.  They wanted some new features and so we packed over 100 new or improved capabilities into DXbase 2000®.  All this, at a very reasonable price.  Someone once said, "If you build the best product and sell it at a reasonable price, people will buy it and be delighted".  Nothing could be more true and we're delighted with the relationship between Scientific Solutions, Inc. and our customers.
