Tell me about the
registration process.
|
DXbase 2007 incorporates a
registration process that allows you to download and run DXbase in
trial mode. After you make your purchase, a registration key will
be provided that unlocks all the features and turns the trial
version into a full release version.
The trial period is limited to 15 days and certain
features are disabled or limited. At the end of the trial
period, the software will stop operating. If you register
after the trial period has expired, the registration will
reactivate the expired software and it will become fully
operational.

About the trial version:
|
| Trial Database |
A trial database is
provided that is prepopulated with about 5,000 QSOs. Only
the trial database can be used in non registered versions. |
After registration, your
permanent database can be used. |
|
| QSO Logging |
You can log QSOs into the
trial database, but only five QSOs can be logged per
session. |
This restriction is removed
after registration, |
|
| Callsign |
The callsign used in some
areas of the software cannot be changed in the trial version. |
Any registered callsign can
be used after registration. |
|
| Import/Export |
There are no provisions for
retaining QSO data entered in the trial version. Use the
trial version to explore the features but do not use it as a
permanent log. Wait until after you register to perform
any importing of data from some other software, including past
versions of DXbase. |
This restriction is removed
after registration. |
